The Residences at 1428 Brickell rises 70 stories as the world's first high-rise residential tower powered in part by the sun—a distinction achieved through architecture rather than afterthought. Along the west-facing façade, 500 photovoltaic-integrated windows form a "Solar Backbone," nearly 20,000 square feet of energy-producing glazing woven seamlessly into the building's skin. It's a rare instance of sustainability expressed as design language, where the technology that powers the tower is also what defines its silhouette against the Miami skyline. That same rigor extends inward. INC spent years refining the building's details—testing ideas, revisiting assumptions, and iterating until each element met a standard few residential towers attempt. The result draws inspiration from the private estate: a sense of scale and restraint more often found in a singular home than a high-rise, translated into a building that feels understated, private, and personal rather than purely monumental. This attention to craft responds directly to a gap in Brickell's luxury market, where demand for genuine architectural distinction has outpaced what's typically delivered.
