Sculpted Journey
The Manifest Club is a sequence of functionally discrete spaces designed to gradually transition from public to private, offering club members and non-members a wide range of amenities. These include a barbershop, café, retail market, club lounge, bar, speakeasy, and private dining areas, all linked by sculptural architectural forms along a path of discovery. The journey begins at the open, light-filled street-level barbershop pavilion, where the interaction between barber and client becomes a “theater of self-care.” The adjacent café engages in a dynamic visual dialogue with the barbershop. A spiral staircase leads to the lower level main club lounge, with a private bar, a Speakeasy, and an exclusive dining lounge. Each space in The Manifest Club is sculpted evocatively, with architectural forms playing a significant role in the design's impact. These forms, combined with a powerful color palette and dramatically varied plaster textures, create a dynamic visual and tactile experience. The color palette, which shifts from bright, soft tones to darker, atmospheric hues, resonates with the unique character and activity of each space. The reductive aesthetic of the club manifests luxuriousness through the lens of simplicity, with forms and spaces presented as acts of pure sculpture-making. Curves, arches, and undulating shapes unify the design, while soft lighting and rich concrete floors add to its intimate atmosphere. The Manifest Club is an inclusive and welcoming third place designed to honor, elevate, and sustain everyone who enters.
