Can a rug suggest an event? The Paint Pour Rug appears like a series of colored spills, layered and spooling out into an unconventional shape. Carved from wool, the rug’s balanced use of color and scale vibrates amid a geometric use of density, catalyzing an effect that’s at once whimsical and refined. Perhaps equally reminiscent of a Lynda Benglis floor sculpture as a vibrant geode, this startling rug evokes the possibility of continual change.
