Vibrant Optimism
The Morrow is a new luxury Curio Collection hotel located at the Armature Works development in DC’s NoMa neighborhood. INC Architecture & Design has created an atmosphere for the hotel that builds on the optimistic qualities of the Morrow brand as well as emphasizing the historical context of Washington DC and the local NoMa setting. These primary influences are further developed by INC through a delicate alchemy that blends formal neoclassical, clean modern and easygoing organic design idioms. The design of the public spaces, including the lobby, restaurant, cocktail lounge, and rooftop bar, creates a series of differentiated experiences from light and airy to dark and moody by evoking the times of the day from morning to night. Each space has been designed to elicit a distinct atmosphere and bring elements of contrast and variety to the hotel's various activities from lounging and working to dining. The spaces are at once elevated and casual, refined and simple, elegant and comfortable, all in support of the brand's mission to create a bright new day in the world of hospitality.
